The participants will be announced at short notice, here is the list of last year’s poetry slammers …

1-DaWastl

DaWastl (*1976), Graz
has devoted himself entirely to poetry and play on words. He has been touring the stages in the German-speaking countries since 2019. He loves public speaking and calls himself a serious literary verb-breaker, convicted of fatal rhyme-breaking. But please don’t get distracted, because otherwise the words will fail afterwards.

Martin Fritz (c) peter unterthurner

Martin Fritz (*1982), Rum near Innsbruck
likes to listen to DJ Patex’s cover version of the song “I Wish I Was Him” in his free time. He is part of the Innsbruck reading stage FHK5K, chairman of “SPoT – Slam Poetry Tirol” and editor of the slam text collection “Die Vorbereitung der Tiere” (2020).

Knafl

Anja Knafl (*2004), Vienna
moved to Carinthia with her family in 2019. Since 2022, she has been working as an actress, author, spoken word artist, speaker and writer, finding her whole passion in it.

Lederwasch-Klaus

Klaus Lederwasch (*1975), Graz
is an author, singer-songwriter, two-time Austrian champion in the poetry slam (2012 individual, 2017 team) and Styrian-Carinthian runner-up 2019, as well as curator, workshop leader and moderator and chairman of the 1st Graz reading stage. He publishes in literary magazines and anthologies and performs throughout the German-speaking world.

Radda-Trisha

Trisha Radda (*1989), Graz
organizes and manages the Graz poetry slam scene. She has been publishing short stories, poems and novellas since she was 15 years old. In 2017, she represented Carinthia for the first time at the Austrian Poetry Slam Championships. Trisha writes a lot and gladly – and is therefore at almost every slam with new texts.

Wagner

Daniel Wagner (*1984), Lörrach
has lived in Heidelberg since 2005, where he studied German, history and Latin. He has been touring as a slam poet for 20 years and is now a record finalist at the German Poetry Slam Championships. His program has developed towards cabaret since his stage debut, so he is also a proven participant in the Cabaret Bundesliga.

Moderation:

Estha Sackl (*1991), Steindorf
Estha is a slam poet, performance artist and educator. Since 2010 she has lived in Graz, where she studied two teaching subjects and is currently working in social education. Born in Carinthia, the highlights of her artistic work include the production of her first own play and the participation in two German-language poetry slam championships.
