Fresach preview on January 19th in Klagenfurt

On Wednesday, 19th January, the program of the European Tolerance Talks will be presented in the Mirror Hall of the provincial government in Klagenfurt. The presentation takes place in the context of a press conference and a subsequent panel discussion, the entry is free. The discussion will be moderated by Daniela Stein, head of the Business Women Centre Carinthia.

The program of the ​​European Tolerance Talks in 2016 will be devoted to the integration of sustainability as a means of overcoming national conflicts, new border fences and refugee movements. Peace researcher Bettina Gruber from the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt is going to lecture about the “causes of current refugee movements – Challenges and Perspectives”.
DRF-President Hannes Swoboda provides an overview of the previous activities of Denk.Raum.Fresach and an outlook on the highlights of the coming season. PEN president Helmuth A. Niederle explains the motives of the Writers’ Union to support the tolerance talks with internationally renowned writers and philosophers and gives a preview. (ws)
